Microsoft: Windows 98 not a blockbuster

According to reports, Microsoft will spend only $10 million advertising Windows 98 when it debuts this June, a small fraction of the $200 million it spent advertising Windows 95 three years ago. Microsoft acknowledges that Windows 98 won't be the blockbuster hit Windows 95 was, and Microsoft CFO Greg Maffei told analysts this quarter that the new OS wouldn't generate "large revenue" for Microsoft
