When Microsoft released a new 4.01 version of Internet Explorer a few weeks ago, IE 4.0 users were dismayed to see that it required a hefty 12 MB download. A new version of the download released Tuesday, finally addresses 4.0-to-4.01 upgraders, however, and reduces the download from 12 MB to only 6 MB by removing duplicate files.
