Microsoft releases fix for NT Service Pack 2

Microsoft releases fix for NT Service Pack 2 This would be funny, if it wasn't so stupid: Microsoft has released fixes for two bugs introduced when they released Service Pack 2 for Windows NT 4.0. Service Packs are designed to fix bugs, and SP2 fixed over 100 while introducing these new ones. One bug, ironically, involved virus scanners and resulted in the dreaded "Blue screen of death." The second bug affects Point-To-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) Multilink support, disabling automatic multilink. Microsoft downplayed the bugs, despite loud outcries on USENET. I think they should just do better and I find it insulting that they aren't being more upfront about this: one of these bug fixes patches the NT kernel for instance.
