Microsoft Corporation on Monday released a beta version of its upcoming BackOffice Small Business Server (SBS) 4.5 server suite, which now includes SQL Server 7.0. SBS 4.5 also raises the number of client licenses from 25 to 50, making it appropriate for far more small businesses than before. Also included is a simpler setup program, better remote administration tools and other tweaks that were requested by customers. SBS 4.5 will integrate with Office 2000. It will be available free to SBS 4.0 users sometime next quarter.
