If your W9x client connects to a Windows NT or Windows 2000 RAS server when logging onto the domain, they may receive:
The domain password you supplied is not correct, or access to your logon server has been denied.
If the client has an LMHOSTS file that maps the domain controller name to an incorrect IP address, this message will be generated.
To resolve the problem:
1. Rename the LMHOSTS file on the client to LMHOSTS.ERR.
2. Shutdown and restart the client computer.
3. Connect and log on.
4. Correct the improper entry in the LMHOSTS.ERR file and rename it to LMHOSTS.
