If you are logged onto the PDC and you receive:
Could not find domain controller for this domain. Do you want to select another domain to administer?
when you attempt to open User Manager for Domains or Server Manager, you probably have WINS running on this PDC, and the Primary and Secondary WINS Server entries are blank.
To resolve the problem:
1. Control Panel / Network / Protocol / TCP/IP Protocol / Properties.
2. Select the WINS tab and set the Primary WINS Server and Secondary WINS Server IP Addresses to the IP Address of this PDC.
3. Click OK, Close, and Yes to restart your PDC.
