Intel has pushed back the due date of Klamath--the MMX-enabled version of the Pentium Pro with 512K onboard cache--from April to May so that it can simultaneously release 233 and 266 Mhz versions of the CPU. Intel wishes to more effectively compete with the AMD K5 processor, which will offer similar performance.
Systems with Klamath chip sets are now expected around mid-Summer
