Intel cuts prices on Pentium II 233

As expected, Intel Corporation cut prices on its 233 MHz Pentium II microprocessor, from $401 to $268. The price cut is an attempt by Intel to spur sales of sub-$1000 and sub-$1500 PCs.

"\[The price cut\] is in effect today," said an Intel spokesperson. "There have been no other price cuts." Intel is expected to cut prices on other Pentium II CPUs in late January or February
