After originally turning down the offer, Microsoft chairman and CEO Bill Gates has agreed to appear before a Senate Judiciary hearing to be held on March 3rd. Sun Microsystems president Scott McNealy and Netscape president Jim Barksdale are also set to testify at the hearing, which is titled "Market Power and Structural Change in the Software Industry." It is a continuation of the committee's ongoing investigation of "competition, innovation, and public policy in the Digital Age.
