Digital says Intel has monopoly

Digital Equipment Corporation filed papers with the Federal Court in California alleging that Intel has used its "monopoly power" in PC microprocessors to harm Digital for selling a competing CPU. In May, Digital sued Intel for stealing trade secrets and Intel responded by threatening to cut off Pentium chip supplies from the company.

The papers filed by Digital claim that Intel has an almost 90% marketshare in the domestic and global market for microprocessors and that it is using its marketing power as a weapon to retain its share
