Be exits the hardware business

Be, which recently lost a bid to engineer the next Mac OS, announced today that they are exiting the hardware business to focus on developing their own operating system, called BeOS. Currently, BeOS runs on a proprietary two-processor system called the BeBox, and on Macintosh computers. Be is expected to port the OS to Intel machines as well
