At BUILD today, Steve Ballmer not only announced that Windows 8 (and Windows RT) will soon see long anticipated apps such as Facebook and Flipboard (social reader), but also that a new fantasy football app from the NFL will soon appear in the Windows app store. Ballmer also promised that the Windows 8 store will soon provide more than 100,000 apps, giving hope to those individuals who believe that the number of apps somehow makes a platform better than another.
