What do I remove a Mount point?

A. Mount points are removed using the Disk Administration MMC as follows:

  1. Start the Computer Management MMC snap-in (Start – Programs – Administrative Tools – Computer Management)
  2. Expand the Storage branch and select Disk Management
  3. Right click on the volume you want to create as a mount point and select ‘Change Drive Letter and Path’
  4. Select the mount point to remove
  5. Click Remove
  6. Click Yes to the confirmation

It will leave the folder that was created so you need to manually remove it, in the example the folder 'd:\data drive' will be left as an empty folder.
