A. Mount points are removed using the Disk Administration MMC as follows:
- Start the Computer Management MMC snap-in (Start – Programs – Administrative Tools – Computer Management)
- Expand the Storage branch and select Disk Management
- Right click on the volume you want to create as a mount point and select ‘Change Drive Letter and Path’
- Select the mount point to remove
- Click Remove

It will leave the folder that was created so you need to manually remove it, in the example the folder 'd:\data drive' will be left as an empty folder.
