The Print Management snap-in that’s part of Vista is essentially the same interface that forms the core of the Windows Server 2008 print management capabilities, and it can connect to servers running Server 2008, Windows 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. The tool lets you manage all aspects of a print server, including the drivers, forms, and ports, as Figure 1 shows. The Print Management console can even search for network-enabled printers on the network and automatically add them to a print server.—John Savill
