JSI Tip 9887. How can I allow an ordinary Windows XP laptop user to modify their connection properties?

In tip 8522, I described the Windows XP Network Configuration Operators local group, and methods you can use to add the user to it.

If you have allowed the user to use their domain profile on the laptop, while traveling, and made the local account a member of the Network Configuration Operators group, the user will be able to modify their connection properties.
