Please start "MPService" from the Services applet in the Control Panel.
Then please right-click on the StatusMonitor to Reconnect and try again.
When you press OK, you receive:
The print job failed to complete.
Reason:
Unable to communicate with the device.
The device may be turned off, or a cable may be disconnected.
Please make sure that the device is turned on, connected and functioning properly.
When you attempt to scan a document from the Canon MultiPass F20, you receive:
This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "Switch To" to activate the busy program and correct the problem.
There are two ways to resolve these issues:
- Download and install an updated Canon driver from http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=DownloadDetailAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=8051.
- Download and install the Microsoft 884020 update - "Programs that connect to IP addresses that are in the loopback address range may not work as you expect in Windows XP Service Pack 2".
