JSI Tip 8446. Closing an IP Phone connection on Windows XP SP2 may generate a STOP 0x000000D5?

When you attempt to close an IP Phone connection on a Windows XP SP2 computer, your computer generates a BSOD similar to:

*** STOP: 0x000000D5 (0x82672F60,0x00000001,0xF85A04DD,0x00000000) (Fatal System Error)
DRIVER_PAGE_FAULT_IN_FREED_SPECIAL_POOL
This behavior will occur if the Ks.sys driver accesses memory that it no longer owns.

NOTE: Normally no error is reported, but if the Driver Verifier feature is enabled, the BSOD occurs.

NOTE: This problem has been reported on Toshiba computers, but may exists on other OEM computers.
