JSI Tip 8364. Outlook Express automatically downloads external content when you reply to, forward, or print a message on Windows XP SP2?

The default behavior of Outlook Express on Windows XP SP2 is to check the Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail box. With this box checked, external content is blocked when you open or view your message, unless you specifically use the InfoZBar to authorize viewing.

This behavior reduces traffic, and prevents Web beacons from validating your e-mail address.

Unfortunately, when you reply to, forward, or print an e-mail message that contains external content, the content is automatically downloaded.
