JSI Tip 7929. When you uninstall a .MSI package, not all registry entries are removed?

If you install a .MSI (MicroSoft Windows Installer) package, and subsequently remove it, you may find that some registry entries from the package and not deleted.

If another user used the application, registry entries may have been written to their profile. This information may not be deleted when the package is uninstalled.

Other than wasting space and providing misleading information, the are no ill effects from leaving the extra registry entries.
