When you select Turn Off Ring to turn off an alarm in Microsoft Plus!, it doesn't turn off. If you press multiple times, it may turn off or you may receive an access violation.
If the alarm clock title contains too many letters and special characters, you may experience this behavior.
NOTE: An out of date version of Windows Plus! may also cause this behavior.
To workaround this problem:
1. Start the Plus! for Windows XP Alarm Clock.
2. Select the alarm that is causing the problem.
3. Press Change Alarm.
4. Type a short name into the Name of alarm box, using on letters.
5. Press Next.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
