When you try to active Windows XP, your computer hangs.
This behavior can be caused by a conflict between your video driver and the Activate Windows program.
To workaround this behavior:
1. Start / Run / msconfig / OK.
2. Select the BOOT.INI tab.
3. Check the /BASEVIDEO box and press Apply.
4. Press Close.
5. Press Restart. Windows XP will start in 640 x 480 VGA mode.
6. Press Cancel to close the System Configuration Utility dialog.
7. Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Activate Windows.
8. When Windows XP Activation is complete, open msconfig, uncheck the /BASEVIDEO box, and press Apply. Press Close and Exit without restart.
