JSI Tip 5485. Windows XP displays the staging folder when you search a CD-RW drive?

When you search for files on a CD-RW drive, Windows XP may display files in the staging folder, \CD Burning?

Windows XP merges the view of the CD-RW drive content with the CD staging folder.

NOTE: This problem only occurs on computers that have a CD-RW drive. It does NOT happen if you have a regular CD-ROM drive.

To workaround this feature, you can temporarily disable the CD Writing Feature of the CD-RW drive:

1. Right-click the CD-RW drive and press Properties.

2. Press Recording.

3. Clear the Enable CD recording on this drive box and press Apply.
