You may notice that Windows XP sometimes assigns ownership of a file or folder to the Administrator account, instead of assigning ownership to the Administrators group.
This means that those files and folders are not owned by other members of the Administrators group.
To force Windows XP to assign ownership to the Administrators group instead of to the Administrator account:
1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa.
2. Edit or Add Value name NoDefaultAdminOwner, a REG_DWORD data type, and set the data value to 0.
