In addition to the Applications, Processes, and Performance tabs that Task Manager has displayed since Windows NT 4.0, Windows XP adds a Networking tab.
If you select the Networking tab, you can use the View menu to switch the display between Bytes Sent, Bytes Received, and Bytes Total.
Additionally, you can Select Columns on the View menu.
Double-clicking the border at the top of the graph will alternately remove and reinstate the Title bar, Menu bar, and tabs, as well as the entire display below the graph.
