JSI Tip 3911. Dfsutil.exe can cause damage to the DFS metadata?

The Dfsutil.exe program that is included in the Support Tools folder of the Windows 2000 CD-ROM has some serious problems that can corrupt your DFS metadata.

Microsoft has corrected the problem and a new version can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp2/supporttools.asp.

The problem was first corrected in Service Pack 2.
