JSI Tip 3021. How can I force my Windows 2000 domain clients to run programs when they logon?

There are a number of ways to do this, butusing Group Policy is likely to be the best.

1. Open the Default Domain Policy MMC snap-in.

2. Expand Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System.

3. Double-click Run these programs at user logon.

4. Enable the policy.

5. Press Show to modify the list.

NOTE: This policy configures HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\Run.
