After doggedly selling only a slate-style Tablet PC for the past few years, HP is finally jumping into the more lucrative market of convertible laptop-style Tablet PCs, which you can also use like normal notebook computers. The HP Compaq tc4200 Tablet PC will weigh just 4.5 pounds and offer a 12" screen, like most Tablet PCs. No word yet on pricing or availability, but our guess is that this entry is part of a wider grab by the Tablet PC industry to go after more mainstream customers. Other companies, such as Toshiba, are also prepping more consumer-oriented Tablet PCs, which should lower prices overall and, hopefully, make this innovative machine more accessible to the norms
