Forcing Vista to Require the Ctrl+Alt+Delete Sequence

Q. How can I force Windows Vista to require the Ctrl+Alt+Delete sequence for logon?

A. In many scenarios, Vista can rely on its Welcome screen and doesn't require the Ctrl+Alt+Del security logon. To enable Ctrl+Alt+Del, perform the following steps:

  1. Start netplwiz (Start, Search, right-click netplwiz. and select "Run as Administrator").
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Select the "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" checkbox, as the figure shows.
  4. Click OK.
