According to sources close to Microsoft, the first release candidate build of the next version of Microsoft Office, code-named Office 10, will be delivered "in the next few weeks." Office 10 RC1 will be given to active beta testers and to MSDN Universal and Professional subscribers. Due to ship sometime by mid-year, Office 10 is the first major update to Office since Office 2000, and the last non-.NET release of Office expected.
