Q. Is data deduplication available in ReFS for Windows Server 2016?
A. Currently ReFS does not support deduplication. If you need deduplication you should continue to use NTFS however it will mean losing the benefits of ReFS which are numerous, especially with Storage Spaces Direct such as multi-resiliency volumes, no data-copy VHD checkpoint clean up, accelerated file zeroing via metadata and so on.
