You will find the shortcut to Create an album along the sliding navigation bar at the top of the Photos app main screen.
Select the checkbox for any images you want to appear in your new album.
Once you have selected the images for your album then click on the Add button to start your album.
The first thing you should do is give your album an appropirate name. Just click anywhere in the default title to change that name.
New album name complete.
When you are ready to work on your album and customize it just click the Edit button just below the main image that is displayed.
The Edit button brings you to this screen where you can remix the image layout, music, and transitions for each frame. This is a random process. If you want to control the changes to your album then click the Edit video button to begin that process.

The dog eared images indicate they are used in the album. You can drag unused images into the album timeline and drop them in at any point in the sequence.
You can set a custom length of time that any image appears in your album video timeline.
Filters are available and must be applied image by image.
You can add on-screen titles to any individual image and there is a variety of fonts that can be used.
You can use some of the included music on your album or add your own.
There are three options to control the size of any shared album files.
Once your new album is complete, you will see a shortcut to it in the navigation bar across the top of the main app screen.
You can also find your created albums by selecting the Albums tab from the main screen.
