A. SQL Server 2008 supports Hyper-V, as detailed at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506.aspx. However, SQL Server 2008 failover clustering isn’t supported in a Hyper-V environment. Additionally, SQL Server 2005 currently is not supported under Hyper-V, per the Microsoft article at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=956893. The SQL Server 2005 support stance may change in the future if Microsoft releases a SQL Server 2005 service pack that includes Hyper-V support
