Q: When creating a new library in System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012, how do I make sure the default library content is added to the new share?

A: When System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2012 is installed, certain resources are added to the default library, such as some blank virtual hard disks (VHDs) both large and small, and custom resources that contain assets such as scripts and executable used for Server App-V and web deployments.

To make sure these assets are copied to new library servers, mark the check box for Add Default Resources when selecting the file share. (See screen shot below.)

If you forget to do this, just open Explorer on the default library, then copy the resources to the new library server file share manually. Then refresh the library share so the new content is discovered.
