Second Annual BNA Security Summit, February 27, in Washington D.C.

Pike & Fischer and parent company BNA announced the second annual BNA Summit to be held February 27 and 28 at the Omni Shoreham in Washington D.C. This year's summit, "Combatting Cyber Attacks on Your Corporate Data," will host speakers that include Howard Schmidt, chief security officer, Microsoft (recently nominated to be vice chairman of the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Board); John Tritak, director of the US Department of Commerce’s Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office; and Phil Venables, chief information security officer, Goldman Sachs. The summit will also feature cyberspace experts, law enforcers, policy makers, and corporate security experts and officials representing Alston & Bird, America Online, Chubb, the FBI, Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson, PNC Bank PricewaterhouseCoopers, US Department of Commerce, and the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

Speakers will draw from personal experiences to discuss strategies for responding to computer-based data attacks by hackers, terrorists, competitors, and rogue employees. Discussions will also include the impact of the federal antiterrorism law on storing and safeguarding electronic information, and methods for coordinating with regulators and law enforcement agencies on internal responses to attacks.
