Microsoft to Release ANI Vulnerability Patch on April 3

The animated cursor vulnerability is very dangerous and as such Microsoft will release an update to patch the problem on April 3.

Exploits are readily available, source code was been posted to public mailing lists over the weekend. There are also Web-based exploit creation tools online now too. So it's only a matter of time before attacks start circulating all over the Internet, if that hasn't started already.

You can read more about the problem in our updated news story, "Animated Cursors Being Used to Infiltrate Windows".
