The Trojan infects a system and then tells the victim to fork over $10.99 via Western Union if they want to free their machine. Meanwhile the Trojan claims that it will delete 1 file every 30 minutes until the payment is made. The perpetrator claims that after payment is made the Trojan will be removed and any deleted files will be restored.

So let's see now, the Trojan author apparently had a tough decision to make: Get a real job or just sit around cooking up extortion scams.

Yep. That's a tough choice all right ... unless of course you have more than two neurons. Then the choice becomes rather obvious.
