Another Redundant Buzzword: Pharming

An old dog gets a new name and everybody's attention.

Have you heard of pharming? It's a new word for old tactics. Basically, pharming is the act of illicitly manipulating DNS records in an effort to stear people to a particular address. That technique has been known as "DNS poisoning" for a long time. But for some reason somebody decided it needed a new name and so they have dubbed this tactic "pharming."

If anybody knows why that old dog needs a new name then I'd sure like to hear what the reason is.
