Police in the Netherlands arrested three young men
(ages 19, 22, and 27) who the police believe turned at least 100,000 computers into zombies as part of bot network. The report said computers were taken over using a Trojan horse, dubbed W32.Toxbot. The botnet was used to steal personal information from unsuspecting users and to launch various denial of service attacks.
Great -- 100,000 zombies down, and probably millions to go.
