A week in London

I don't know about you, but the older I get the more I suffer from jetlag whenever I take long trips.  Such is the case today as I scribble into my notebook at the London offices of my employer, Quest Software.

The weather is somewhat better than what I expected for England in the fall.  The temperatures are comfortable and, although there'll be sprinkles of rain throughout the week, there was plenty of sun yesterday, my only day off this week.  After getting off the plane yesterday morning, I spent all of the day browsing the work of local artists on Bayswater Street bordering the lovely Hyde Park.

Starting this afternoon (though still the morning throughout the USA), I'll be having a talk with the editors of Server Magazine.  Then, I'm off to a week of meetings with a variety of our customers.  I always love to hear what high-end SQL Server users are working on and toiling under.  What are their problems?  Where are they 'feeling pain'?  Where do they spend much of their time?

And speaking of which, I'd like to hear your opinions on the very same things!  Feel free to drop me a note at [email protected] or post a comment here.

Cheers,

-Kevin
