telerik releases r.a.d.controls Q2 2005
telerik announced the release of r.a.d.controls suite Q2 2005. This updated comprehensive toolset for ASP.NET introduces two new products and a number of major updates. Users will find new grid and combobox controls. Also new in Q2 are r.a.d.editor v5.0, r.a.d.menu v3.2, r.a.d.tabstrip v2.0, and r.a.d.designer v1.6.
The new datagrid control, called r.a.d.grid, is designed to eliminate the typical tradeoff associated with ASP.NET grid controls: rich functionality at the expense of weight and performance. r.a.d.grid offers cross-browser support (Internet Explorer, all Gecko-based browsers, Opera) and client-side interactivity.
Also new to the r.a.d.controls suite is r.a.d.combobox. This component lets you build dropdown/combo interfaces with such features as asynchronous callbacks, autocomplete, sorting, validation, overlaying, skinning, etc.
Also included in r.a.d.controls Q2 2005 is r.a.d.editor v5.0, which offers browser-based content authoring, and includes multi-level Undo/Redo with action trails, dockable and floating toolbars, multiple editors with a single toolbar, custom context menus, system modules, external CSS files, client-side API, and more.
In addition to the new products, r.a.d.controls Q2 2005 features a new single installer that will deploy all 11 components at once, and a new common Quick-Start framework with running code and advanced integration examples.
Price: Starts at US$799
