Q. How do I control which network adapters Virtual PC uses with the virtual machines (VMs) on my Windows 7 box ?

A. When Virtual PC is installed on Windows 7, the installation adds a Virtual PC Network Filter Driver. Any network adapter that has this filter driver enabled can be used for a Virtual PC network. On any NICs you don't want Virtual PC to use, open the Network Connections control panel applet and select the properties of the NIC. Unselect the Virtual PC Network Filter Driver.

In my configuration, I disable the Virtual PC Network Filter Driver for one NIC and on the other NIC I only select the Virtual PC Network Filter Driver, as shown. This way, that NIC is used only by VMs.
