LANDesk announced that it will integrate business process management into its systems and security management solutions with the acquisition of privately held NewRoad Software.
"Adding business process management technology is a natural extension of our core strengths in systems and security management," said Joe Wang, president and chief executive officer of LANDesk. "As businesses continue to look for ways to use technology to increase and drive business value for their organization, automating business processes and workflows will become more and more important."
NewRoad’s Autobahn product helps manage business process changes by introducing automation, documentation, and optimization. LANDesk said that it will offer Autobahn both as a standalone solution and as an add-on to its existing offerings.
