Software pick of the week: Amazing selection of new/updated Windows Phone apps
For whatever reason, April has been a bonanza month for new and updated Windows Phone apps and games. Here are a few very recent additions you should consider checking out:
- Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour for Windows Phone 8 - Yes, it's $6.99. It's also pretty amazing, assuming you can handle touch-controls on a first person shooter.
- LinkedIn - New update adds full WP8 live tiles and lock screen support, speech recognition, and support for more languages.
- Cut the Rope: Experiments ($2.99) - Another classic touch game comes to Windows Phone.
- OpenTable for Windows Phone 8 - New update adds full WP8 live tiles and lock screen support, Calendar integration, NFC sharing, and Maps improvements.
- Tumblr for Windows Phone 8 - First official Tumblr app "lets you post just about anything from just about anywhere".
- Ice Age Village for Windows Phone 8. Great (and free) kid's game title. Help Manny, Ellie, Diego and Sid build a new village for all the creatures of the Ice Age world!
