Outlook Web App already exists for the iPhone, but at the Microsoft Exchange Conference (MEC) in March, Microsoft announced that the company would bring a similar experience to Android very shortly.
Today, Microsoft has unveiled a pre-release version of OWA for Android. The app is already available in the Google Play store.
Since it's a pre-release version, Microsoft is interested in feedback as app development progresses. Feedback and suggestions can be posted to the UserVoice forums designated for the app here:
OWA for Android does have some specific requirements. These include:
- Must be running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher
- You must have an Office 365 for Business account (doesn't work with Office 365 personal, home, or just the basic Outlook.com)
You can locate OWA for Android in the Google Play store on your Android device, or use the following link:
P.S. This is not for Android tablets, just smartphones, or small devices. A tablet version is rumored to release soon.
