Group Policy Administrative Templates for Office 2013 Released

Many of you utilize Group Policy quite a bit to help manage OS and application settings throughout your organization. Built into Windows Server, GPO gives organizations an included ability to customize the endpoints to enforce company technology policies. GPO being part of Windows Server means you can manage computers that connect to your corporate network without having to implement a new tool like System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr). Of course, when you need more than GPO offers, ConfigMgr is the best choice.

Microsoft has just released the Group Policy Administrative Template for Office 2013, which allows you to configure features for those computers using Office 2013 in your company. Provided in both 32bit and 64bit, the download file is installed by extracting to the local disk and then importing the extracted files into your site wide Group Policies.

The downloaded file also includes an office2013grouppolicyandoctsettings.xlsx Excel file that contains all of the options that can be managed for Office 2013. There's close to 2,170 different settings you can adjust.
