Asbru Adds .NET Programming Language Version to CMS

Asbru Adds .NET Programming Language Version to CMS

Asbru Software released version 6.9 of the Asbru Web Content Management system designed to provide control and simplicity for non-technical users while maintaining flexibility and power for developers. This latest major upgrade to the Asbru Web Content Management system adds a .NET programming language version, in addition to several other exciting new features.

The Asbru Web Content Management system is already available in JSP, PHP, and ASP programming languages. With this new release, Asbru Software is strengthening its cross-platform strategy by adding a .NET programming language version. The solution is designed so that Asbru Software s customers and partners can migrate from one programming language version to another without making any changes to their Web sites.

This release of the Asbru Web Content Management system also adds server-side form validation functionality that can be used by people who don t have any programming experience. If the form validation functionality detects errors, further information about the errors detected will be returned to Web site visitors. Furthermore, the fact that validation occurs server-side means that scripting does not need to be enabled on the browser.

Additionally, this release adds server-side evaluation of mathematical expressions, which enables Web site administrators to set up interactive calculation tools on their Web sites. For example, a Web site administrator could set up a Web page to calculate and show the cost of operating an electrical appliance based on data entered by Web site visitors. The functionality has many other application areas within such sectors as education, finance, and health.

Finally, version 6.9 of the Asbru Web Content Management system includes significant improvements to the system s integrated workflow engine. The flexible workflow engine already enables users to set up an unlimited number of workflows and workflow steps to support Web site publishing business processes. In version 6.9 Asbru Software has added functionality that enables workflow actions to invoke one or several automatic content changes. For example, moving content from one workflow state to another could be set up to invoke a copy of the content to be automatically archived for an audit trail and access to edit the content for a group of users to be blocked.
