Dell Axim X50v
Contact: Dell * 800-999-3355
Web: http://www.dell.com
Price: $500
Summary
Pros: Most powerful Pocket PC available; stunning VGA screen that you can use in landscape or portrait mode
Cons: Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition is lackluster, with few improvements over the earlier version
Rating: 5 out of 5
Recommendation:
The Axim X50v is the first Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition—based PDA to offer both a VGA 640 × 480 screen—twice the resolution of most PDAs—and the software improvements in Microsoft's latest Pocket PC OS. The almost surreally powerful X50v is hobbled only by Microsoft's lazy approach to updating its Pocket PC software.
