Looking to get your hands on a Portable Media Center? Amazon.com and Microsoft recently announced that you can now preorder the devices, which will likely ship in August. Amazon is now offering the Creative Labs' Creative Zen Portable Media Center and the Samsung Yepp YH-999 Portable Media Center for preorder. Users looking to add video to their portable device experience won't get the new feature cheap; the new Portable Media Centers are retailing for $500. These days, that price isn't much less than that of a decent laptop. Plus, the current models come with only a disappointing 20GB hard disk. We'll see whether a market actually exists for these devices, but the steep price difference versus an ordinary portable music player makes the product a tough sell in our opinion
