Garmin Forerunner 35 is a Stylish Vivosmart HR

Garmin continues to integrate many of its higher end features into more affordable fitness wearables. Today the company announced a new addition to its Forerunner line, the Forerunner 35.

The Forerunner 35 hosts a stylish look and delivers features that are for those that are more than just part-time or beginner fitness seekers.

Here’s a quick look at the features (we'll be digging into this unit soon):

·         Monitors heart rate at the wrist, all day and night, using Garmin Elevate wrist heart rate technology

·         Built-in GPS tracks how far, how fast and where you run

·         Connected features: smart notifications, automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, live tracking and music controls

·         All-day activity tracking counts steps, calories and intensity minutes and reminds you when to move

·         Automatically uploads your data to Garmin Connect, the free online fitness community where you can join challenges, receive insights and share your progress as you meet your goals

All this with a price tag of just $199.

Garmin's strategy seems to be working well, providing wearables for all levels and all interests of fitness. Many wearable producers focus on a single device for a single group which actually ends up excluding whole groups of fitness seekers.
