What Is Wi-Fi Certified?

The Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) is a nonprofit committee of wireless network vendors. WECA has created a certification process for interoperability between products from different wireless network vendors. Products with the Wi-Fi seal of approval have been tested and have received a certification of interoperability, which means that they should work seamlessly with other network cards and Access Points (APs) that are Wi-Fi certified. For more information about WECA and the Wi-Fi certification, visit the WECA Web site at http://www.weca.net.
